What should I bring to my first appointment?

Where do hospital deliveries take place in Bermuda?

All hospital births in Bermuda take place at the Maternity Unit of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) in Paget, located in the Acute Care Wing.

What should I do when I go into labor?

Before heading to the hospital, you should call Labor & Delivery directly at +1 (441) 239-1459. When you arrive at KEMH, check in at the Admitting Desk in the Emergency Department, and the clerk will direct you to the Maternity Ward.

Who is allowed in the delivery room?

KEMH guidelines typically allow only one support person to be with you in the labor and delivery room. Other family members and friends must wait in the designated sitting room until you are transferred to your postnatal room.
